Updating media center transition from dating to serious relationship
A year before the launch of Windows 8, then-Windows boss Steven Sinofsky justified the decision to leave out Media Center by citing economics and low usage.
Today, usage of Windows Media Center is "infinitesimal," as measured by Microsoft's automatic telemetry.
As a reminder, to do that, just go to the Start Screen and start typing “add features”, then select “Add features to Windows 8.1″.
From there just follow the wizard option for providing a product key.
The Sling TV service, available as an Xbox One app, offers a diverse array of content, live and on-demand.

If you are upgrading a Windows 8 Pro with Media Center machine via the Windows Store you will be upgraded directly to Windows 8.1 with Media Center.
Those who have are most likely going to want to upgrade to Windows 8.1 too.
The first machine that we upgraded today was a Surface Pro.
